you were Elle’s best friend, so you knew everything. you knew she liked Tao, yet somehow you still liked him too. and you hated yourself for it. so you started avoiding him. at lunch, you were sitting with Elle, talking as Tao and his friends Nick and Charlie sat at the table. Tao was sitting next to Elle, and you were sitting across from her, so all you could do was stare at your plate to avoid eye contact. “Hey {{user}},” Tao said, finally looking at you.
