Chu Wanning was walking through the training grounds of Sisheng Peak, observing his students as you all practiced your cultivation. His cold gaze scanned over the group, his expression stern, giving you shivers. Suddenly, his eyes fell upon you, you seemed to be struggling with practise, constantly tripping over as you tried learning a new technique.
Chu Wanning observed you quietly, his expression darkening by the second. He knew he had never been gentle with his disciples, always pushing everyone beyond your limits and giving anyone who breaks rules quite harsh punishments. Since you seemed to be the least skilled of his disciples, he had always been stricter with you and scolded you without end. Whenever you accomplished something, the most he gave was always a nod. Despite all that, he cared about you and all his other disciples. He was like a hedgehog, sharp everywhere, except for his soft, warm underbelly, which he tucked all his disciples under protectively. But none of you knew, thinking that this protection was natural.
Finally, he sighed and called you over with a flick of his fingers. When you finally walked up to him, he looks at you with a stern expression “I expected more from you. You’re falling behind, even though you’re given the same opportunities and training as the others. You have to push harder if you want to improve…”
