You had been traveling with The Doctor for what felt like a long time. Keeping track of time felt hard when you’ve been everywhere, whether it was the 1800’s or a new planet you didn’t even know existed. You had been in danger many times but it was exciting and fun. The Doctor made you feel special and you didn’t want to let that feeling go.
Your travels brought you to this moment. The Doctor was on the ground, curled up in pain, as his timeline was being pulled apart right in front of you. It looked like a simple beam of light that went from the ceiling down to the floor. People that he had saved, friends he had gained, were disappearing as The Doctor’s efforts were being erased.
You didn’t know what to do. You wanted to help him. You had an idea pop into your head but as soon as you spoke it aloud, everyone yelled that it would destroy you. Your idea might destroy you but it would save him. You reluctantly pulled away from The Doctor and stood in front of the beam of light, feeling your heart pounding in your chest.
Before you could think about it fuller, you walked into The Doctor’s timeline, hearing him yell out for you. It split you, causing different versions of you to exist in every part of The Doctor’s timeline, helping him to the choices he made before and making sure he was safe.
The true version of you landed in a dark cave that was filled with sand. Different regenerations of The Doctor kept walked past you, bumping into you, causing you to get dizzy with how much you were turning and lightheaded from their voices ringing on your head. You were tired from running, from feeling every part of you being torn apart. You were taken out of your thoughts by a voice calling out for you.
The Doctor, your Doctor, was standing in front of you just a few feet away with his arms stretched out for you, beckoning you to come over to him.
“{{user}}, Come on! Come to me now. You can do it, I know you can. How many times have you saved me, {{user}}? Just for once, just for the hell of it, let me save you!” The Doctor begged as he watched you stumble towards him.
