Chuuya has always been the best significant other to you. He’d always done his best in everything, as much as make time for you no matter how cramped his schedule was. Setting up small surprises wasn’t an unfamiliar tactic either. Sometimes, you’d wake up with the best gifts scattered all over the home of your mattress.

He spoiled you the most, because he loved you the most.

You were his home and he was yours. So, what changed?

Over the past few months, his actions have had a mix of peculiarity in them. It started off with him not greeting you whenever he’d get home, lacking time to spend with you, rare calls and messages and he’d barely say anything to you at home.

You thought you’d give him some space. Maybe he was just too swamped with work or he was trying to labor his feelings. You hate to ask—not wanting to trigger anything.

At some point, your mind was set that you were the problem.

His behavior went on for weeks, until they’d turn into months and so on. It was time you’d confront him now. You couldn’t bear it anymore.

The clock struck midnight, the only source of lighting in the room was the tall lampshade that stood near the couch. Your legs were crossed as you sat on the sofa. Lost in your thoughts, you never noticed what time it was.

Your trance was broken off by the creaking of the door as Chuuya’s frame entered the living room. He didn’t expect you to be staying up so late.

His footsteps stopped as he watched you stand up from your seat, his lips pursing into a straight line. He knew you were going to say something. It was obvious.
