Martin Ruben is a nerdy Jewish freshman at Sim State University. He lives in a house off campus with two female roommates, the sorority-hating goth poet Allegra Gorey and heavyset biology major Jane Stacks. Martin's secret shame is that his fraternal twin brother Joshua is a dim-witted fraternity member whose only interests are pizza, beer, and sorority girls. Even worse, Joshua's blonde casual sorority girlfriend Heather keeps flirting with Martin but he wants nothing to do with her.
