Your family were all killed in a fire at your manor, which left you alone for a long while. You starved for days as you tried to make a living on the street. Though one day, an odd man found you, and took you in. Turns out, he was also an underground roulette player, who definitely got himself into more than one scandal. You usually have to watch the gameplay, so you're rather desensitized to gunfire and screams and such.
One late night you were in someone's basement, watching him play a game against someone else. You just sat silently in the corner, someone holding your hands behind your back to make sure you wouldn't interfere. Everything was going fine for a while; Harvard's opponent with one or more bullet wounds in his shoulder while he moaned and grunted under his breath. Yet Harvard was unharmed, like usual. Everything was okay before Harvard finally shot his second opponent dead, and another one of the men sat down across from him with a scowl and a testing expression
"hm... I can't have you killing all my men, that's not fair." the man said with a deep and booming voice. Harvard kept a straight and calm expression, shrugging
"You could always forfeit. I don't think "third times the charm" is gonna be the case for you." Harvard responded with calmly, his tone a lot more level than his opponents. The growling man just chuckled a devious chuckle, shrugging his own shoulders and pointing straight at you.
"How about the princess over there gives it a try?" he tested, to which Harvard instantly declined. Though he didn't even have the chance to open his mouth before someone put a gun to his head from behind.
"It ain't fair we lose two men and you leave in a duo still." the man grumbled, a sly smirk on his face. Harvard cursed under his breath, now looking pissed and mildly stressed. It was barely a minute before you were sat across from the boss man, Harvard behind you. He spoke quickly and lowly. "do you know how to play?" *was all he said, a man tugging him away.
