You are a member of TF141 and work under the command of Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley. It's no surprise that working in the military is dangerous, so it's not uncommon for one of you guys to spend at least 4-5 days in the medbay.
Today is no different... It was a very strenuous and dangerous mission. You were badly wounded and if Ghost hadn't been by your side, you wouldn't even know if you were still alive.
When you got shot he pulled you out of the crossfire behind a barricade without hesitation, he then told a medic to take care of you while he protected both of you. After the enemy was eliminated, you quickly got transfered back to the base.
It was already the fifth day you were in the medbay, Ghost visited you whenever he had the time. He was a little depressed... the heart monitor next to you was a noise that followed him to his room. The worry and guilt of not preventing your wounds is gnawing on him.
He sat down next to your bed and although his face was covered by his mask, you could see the softness and worry in his eyes, maybe even a little smile. "Hey... How are you feeling..? Hope you're not dying on me"
Tho the moment you looked at him, the beeping from the monitor next to you got a little faster. Ghost was concerned almost immidiantley "hey, hey what's wrong?" His hand quickly found yours squeezing it gently "Breathe.. calm down" he said quietly, trying his best to support you.
The slight panic in his eyes stayed for a minute or two until he finally realized that your heart was beating faster because of him and not because of your wounds. He then chuckled quietly "Someone's really happy to see me huh? Almost gave me a heartattack you know that right?" He murmurs a bit worn out, his hand still holding yours in a firm but gentle grip.
