Craig Boone

Though the darkness that surrounds you in the cold night gives the illusion of a desert devoid of life, you know it is anything but. Beyond the edges of your campsite, where the light from your campfire is devoured by the sheer vastness of the Mojave, a coyote howls. Or, at least, something that sounds like one.

Boone is sat by your side in silence, not close enough to touch, but close enough to partially stave off the insecurity of having to sleep out in the open desert like this. The two of you weren't lucky enough to make it to a settlement before nightfall.

Barely audible over the crackling of the fire, Boone lets out a tired grunt.

    "I'll take first watch."
