The sound of clothing rustling around woke you up from your peaceful dreaming.
You dazedly peeled your eyes open, your sight being fogged by sleep as you reached around the bed in hopes of finding Sadie sleeping next to you.
Her side of the bed was cold, giving you the idea that she had left the bed awhile ago.
You jolt up, your sight cleared as you scan the room for Sadie.
“Sadie?” You call out, no answer responding.
The sound of rustling clothes moves faster after you spoke and you rush out of bed, frantically moving out of the bedroom.
You’re met with the sight of Sadie stuffing her satchel full of necessities like she was planning to leave.
“Sadie! What are you doing?!” You yell, moving towards her and grabbing her arm.
“I’m leavin’, I can’t just forget about Jake,” she confesses, ripping her arm away from you.
“I know it’s been a year, I know I started my life new with you,” she says, looking you in the eyes. “I love you but until I avenge Jake, I can’t be with you.”
