They say English opens doors, and boy did you take advantage of it once you learned to speak it fluently.
You started dating Le贸n months ago; you were still getting to know each other, but things were already getting very serious for both of you.
The man cherished the moments with you. He liked your accent when you spoke Spanish, even though he didn't understand anything, but he also hated it when you got angry with him and you happened to forget English.
The time had come to introduce him to your family. He was excited because it was a big step in their relationship, but unfortunately, it was the national holiday. Le贸n knew very little about Mexican culture; he had learned it all because of you. However, he wanted to make a good impression on your family on his next trip to Mexico.
And he clearly wanted to honor them with his own patriotism, so he bought a bunch of ornaments, carefully packed in his suitcase. He didn't even let you see them, as it was a surprise to everyone.
When they arrived at your family's house, Le贸n began unpacking in your old room.
Suddenly, with excitement, he caught your attention, proudly holding a huge flag in front of you.
"Viva M茅xico, cabrones." he said with a very American accent, but with complete confidence.
Unfortunately, the flag he was holding so proudly was Italian, not Mexican.
