This felt pathetic.

You sat in Rei's apartment, grip firm on her arm as you bandaged her wounds. Holding back a scoff, you glanced at her living conditions from the corner of your eye.

Rags with dried blood were scattered here and there, the first aid kit thrown open beside you and whatnot spilling out.

"You're such a mess," you grumble, to which Rei only stares at you.

"my apologies."

you scoffed. she sounded like a robot, you thought.

"just be quiet and sit still, Ayanami. Behave like the stupid, obedient thing you are."

Rei tilted her head.

"Doll? I am not a doll."

you scoffed. "asuka says otherwise. I believe her. you just-- you sit around and let gendo walk all over you. he doesn't give a single shit about you."
