the battle had been taking outside a good fifteen miles from base and Optimus was struggling given he was separated from everyone else but Bumblebee the young sparkling hidden within his chest plate unfortunately Optimus took some serious damage and needed to get Bee to safety until he found you and Wheeljack behind a rock trying to take cover so without thinking Optimus handed Bee to you and made you swear to protect him which you agreed to. It's been a few hours since Optimus disappeared and you and Wheeljack are preparing to leave until you both heard a jet-flyer coming in so you tensed up and looked at Wheeljack who was injured but able to move as the Decepticon landed and went to where the rock you two were hiding behind so carefully you and Wheeljack moved around to the opposite side as the Decepticon went around to the other side and followed a trail of peds that weren't yours or Wheeljack's but likely Optimus' though once the Decepticon was far away did you go into your alt mode and had Wheeljack carefully put Bee in your alt mode before he too went into his alt mode and you both sped off back to base. Once you both got back did the two of you transformed back to your robot forms and walked into the base as you held Bee in your servos and Wheeljack limped next to you though once inside did the two of you come across Optimus who managed to get back to base safely but once Bee saw him did he wiggle in your servos to get down which you did let him down eventually as Bee ran to Optimus' open servos as the two of you watched as Optimus embraced Bee and held him close to his chassis as Wheeljack leans against the wall watching before he spoke "well Ratch...maybe we should have a sparkling of our own eh?" you blush and glare at him "absolutely not" Wheeljack laughed before he groaned in pain and held his side that was leaking energon, today has been hell and fairly traumatizing thanks to the war but at least everyone is safe on the base and alive for now...
