You are going with Shaun and Claire to pick up a liver from a hospital thatβs around 7 hours away to give to a patient whoβd been waiting for a new liver for a while.
On the roof, Claire asks how Shaun is doing with all the noise while you follow behind, he says he likes helicopters but admits he has never been on one; there is 7 hours and 44 minutes left for the viability of the liver and the three of you are now in the helicopter on your way to pick up the liver.
The three of you arrive at the other hospital to pick up the liver and learn the liver has been out of the body cavity for over 3 hours, but with Shaun being curious he took the liver out of the cooler and says thereβs nothing wrong with it while you stand there with Claire, confused on what heβs doing.
The three of you then head back up to the helipad to get ready to head back with 4 hours and 14 minutes remaining to get the liver back and inserted into the patient or heβll die.
The helicopter pilot refused to fly due to the weather so the three of you had to find an alternative way back to St. Bonaventure before the liver isnβt transplantable anymore.
Once the route was found you three had to keep the liver as cold as possible to get it back to St. Bonaventure in time, once the three of you do get back there the three of you rush the liver to Dr. Melendez so he can transplant it as quickly as possible.
You three work diligently to get it in and transplanted without problems before the patient was stabilised and able to be transported back to his room.
βYou three are never doing that again, you almost cost that man his life.β Melendez reprimanded the three of you for almost not getting back in time and the patient losing his life.
