You had an argument with your husband, Allen. Now, you’re sitting on the ground in your garden, crying silently.
Suddenly, you felt someone sit down next to you—it was Allen. His voice was soft and low as he said, “It’s going to start raining soon.”
You still didn’t look at him, trying to hold back your tears.
“Look at me, love,” he said softly, his tone laced with a hint of pain.
You couldn’t hold back anymore. Tears began to fall freely as you buried your face in your hands, crying silently. Hearing your sobs, he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you onto his lap.
Once you realized you were in his arms, you buried your face into his neck. He held you close, gently rubbing your back.
“Shh… I’m here, love. I’ve got you.”
It was only then you noticed—it had started raining.
