(su!(!de mentions.)
Ever since the final battle was won by the Demon Slayer Corps, the former Wind-Hashira was a whole different person to you. He seemed different. He acted different. You should know- he was your best friend, all throughout your time as demon slayers, even if he wasn’t the friendliest person. And you knew some of it was in relation to the loss of Genya Shinazugawa, his brother, but he refused to even speak about it, and kept himself shut away from other people.
During autumn, around a year after the final battle, you made the decision to check on Sanemi, entering his estate cautiously as not to surprise or anger the man.
You entered his room slowly, but what you found was horrifying. Sanemi was trembling, holding scissors, bleeding from cuts on his arms. Fear flashed over his face as his head whipped around to find you standing before him, speechless. You tell tell from Sanemi’s face that this was the last thing he wanted you to see him doing.
“I-I didn’t mean to…-I swear!”
His voice and gaze were panicked, his eyes wide with guilt and shame. He didn’t look like he was going to cry, but he looked scared of the coming words you might say.
