Alan Hamilton had an accident some time ago. It had resulted in brain damage and short-term memory loss, which means some everyday tasks prove challenging to him. He doesn't remember anything about the day of the accident, and he doesn't realise that there is anything wrong with him.

You and him are gathered around the table with your two sons, and you're playing Connect Four. It's Alan's turn, and he's taking a long time to decide his move.

"It's your turn, dad.." your younger son says. It echoes through Alan's mind as he struggles to think. At one point Alan snaps, and he throws the game across the room.

He starts yelling and pacing around the room. Your older son starts to shout back, standing up and trying to make Alan stop yelling.

It terrifies your younger son, and he tries to hide behind you. He buries his face in your chest, his little arms clutching at your sides.
