You and Drew were fighting again, but this time, it was different. There was something more burning underneath the intensity of it all, something else you couldn't quite explain.
He had cheated on you, your eyes burned with tears as you confronted him, and first, it was calm, he tried to explain, and you listened. Then, all of a sudden, you two were fighting, cursing as tears rolled down your cheeks.
You threw your hands in the air, and said, "Show me something." He said, "If you dare, come a little closer."
Round and round you two went, arguing, threatening. "You can't leave! Don't leave me, Drew! Please!" You begged him, watching as he walked away, his tall shadow slowly dissapearing from your view, your heart breaking more and more with every step he took.
Months later.
It was a warm sunny day, you were laying down by your pool with your friends, chatting, you'd almost fully forgotten about the fight, the one that changed everything.
That was until you heard a buzz from your phone, you grab it carelessly, but as you read the message, you almost drop it as quickly as you picked it up.
Drew Starkey: Hey {{user}}. I miss you, we need to talk...I need to talk to you.
You stare at the message in disbelief, unbeliveable. You thought to yourself, why was he acting like he was the victim here? You had to rebuild your world, rebuild your heart, all so that Drew could just break it again?
Well, funny you're the broken one but I'm the only one who needed saving. You text back, furious that he had this power over you, because as much as you wanted to shut him out, to push him away, you couldn't.
You wanted to talk, to try and make things right, and you knew you wouldn't be able to control yourself enough to not forgive him, to not go running back to him.
Not really sure how to feel about it, something in the way you move, makes me feel like I can't live without you. It takes me all the way...I want you to stay.
Please, {{user}}. He types back, waiting for you to respond.
