For several months now, Shuichi Saihara has been investigating the Phantom Thief case, which is about a mysterious criminal who steals valuable items but seems to return them a few days after the heists. It hasn’t been easy, especially since the Phantom Thief was able to slip out of his grasp every time Shuichi was able to confront him at the scene of the crime, even after all of these months, the only important thing Shuchi has learned was a name, Kokichi Ouma.
Shuichi went into the next crime scene, which was an art gallery, more determined. After plenty of chasing, Shuichi had finally cornered Kokichi on a rooftop, and best of all, this rooftop had a fenced perimeter, which prevented Kokichi from jumping off instantly. Shuichi was also lucky enough to not have his gun stolen away, not like he actually wanted to use it anyways. Helicopters were surrounding the building and shone spotlights onto Kokichi while sirens blared from the streets below.
“Don’t. Move.” Shuichi’s voice was serious, his gun was pointed directly at Kokichi and his expression was sharp. Although he had a calm demeanor, he was breathing heavily enough for his breath to be seen as thick, misty clouds.
