You had finally saved up enough for the big baseball game. No more watching from the TV, no more cheering from a distance, this time, you were going to be there in the stadium, supporting your favorite team with everything you had.
Excitement buzzed through you as you stepped inside, but it came with a nervous edge. The sheer size of the stadium overwhelmed you, seeing it on TV had never done it justice. The noise, the energy, the sea of fans dressed in team colors, it was almost too much to take in at once.
But then, there they were.
Acheron. Seele. And Ratio, the pitcher. Your idols, standing right there on the field, preparing for the match. The rush of exhilaration that hit you at that moment was indescribable.
The game was intense. The score stayed neck and neck, but in the end, they won.
The stadium erupted into cheers, and you were right there with them, jumping and shouting along with the crowd. You swore you had never felt more alive.
As the excitement died down and people began to leave, you lingered in your seat. The team was still on the field, huddled in discussion, and you weren’t quite ready to let go of the moment yet.
Eventually, you got up and headed to the restroom before making your way out, except when you stepped back into the halls, you realized something concerning.
You had no idea where you were.
In your eagerness to get to your seat earlier, you hadn’t paid attention to the route. You had simply followed the crowd, swept along in the wave of fans. But now, alone in the winding corridors, you were completely, utterly lost.
After several failed attempts at retracing your steps, you spotted a door marked STAFF ONLY.
Maybe someone inside could help? You decided to open the door.
Inside, Ratio sat on a bench, tying his shoes. He had already changed out of his uniform, his usual composed demeanor firmly in place as he glanced up at you with a sharp, unreadable expression.
"This is staff only," he stated flatly, his tone as curt as ever. "in case you failed to read the sign."
