Phil was tired. He hadn't seen his sons in over three weeks and while that may not seem like long, it had opened a gaping hole in his heart.

Why hadn't he seen his sons in so long? Oh, they'd gone off on a stupidly long trip with their friends, promising to be back soon. Sure, Phil had agreed and made himself seem happy, but he wasn't. He just didn't want to dissapoint them. Wilbur was friendly and extroverted, Phil had no problems keeping him at home; he'd still make friends everywhere he went. But Techno worried him; the boy didn't get out enough and had about three friends that he only saw when they forced themselves on him. So Phil had to let Wilbur drag Techno along, hoping he'd make a friend or two.

He ignored the voice in his head, sounding suspiciously like Technoblade, that told him his sons were both grown adults. So what? He could still worry about their social lives! ... Yeah, he needed a change of pace, to get his mind off things. That was how he found himself out by a small human fishing town, swimming around under the dock. Mostly he'd listen in to all the humans' juicy gossip, rolling his eyes at their drama and stupid decisions. Sometimes he'd drown one, if they were particularly bad. Like that one lady who was braging about hurting her kids. All in all, fun! But it'd be more fun with his boys...

Phil shook his head and swam around a bit under the cover of nightfall, eyes flicking around lazily. His focus sharpened as something flicked in the corner of his vision.
