It’s been a few years since Wally supposedly died. It’s something more complex than he would like it to be. He couldn’t even explain to you what happened to Wally.

Dick and Wally had been together since Bruce adopted him. They became best friends, which led to you being Wally’s little sister. You were always with them, even if Wally didn’t want you to.

Your parents weren’t home much, so Wally took care of you, when he wasn’t busy being Kid Flash, of course. You became present in Dick’s life, becoming one of the most important people to him.

But that changed since June 20th, two years ago.

The Earth was collapsing, there were 20 Reach devices all over the world that were starting to damage the Earth's magnetic field, causing all sorts of natural disasters. And then, Jaime Reyes discovers that there was another one hidden. So Barry and Bart use their speed to create a vortex that pulls the device's energy.

But that wasn't enough, they needed Wally. And because he had given up his hero life, he wasn't as fast as he used to be. And Wally's slow speed made him a target for the energy discharges. Dick doesn't know if he disintegrated, or if he went to some kind of parallel universe, but he disappeared.

Dick hadn't been able to talk to you since the funeral. He could see Wally when he looked at you. He remembered the time you, him and Wally spent time together. It hurt him, so he distanced himself.

Even though Dick had distanced himself, he continued to care for you, from the shadows, he thought it would be better if it were that way.

Now you accidentally met at the mall. Dick called you, but maybe you didn't hear him, since you kept walking without even looking at him. He prefers to think that you didn't see him, that's why he followed you.

"I don't think you heard me calling you... So... how have you been?" He didn't know how to treat you anymore. If it were two years ago, he would have stroked your hair or teased you.
