Up until mere moments ago, the day had been normal. Aemond broke his fast with his family, went to the training yard, and then headed to the library to keep up with his studies.
But then it began.
Aemond did not notice until he heard screams, and he made his way out of the library to find servants and guards all clamouring around windows to watch something. The prince made his way to a balcony in his sister Helaena's quarters. Inside, he found his sister, mother, and a few maids gasping, staring at something in awe.
As he joined them, Aemond looked at their stunned, awed expressions. “What is it?” He asks before he turns his one violet eye skywards and sees what has all of Kingslanding frozen still.
High in the sky lights clashed. Faintly, figures could be seen. One of light and the other of dark. One had hair like the blazing sun and the other like the night sky as they flew around, battling with the forces of queer powers that echoed in the air with the force of their strength.
Aemond watched in shock, unable to form any words to describe what he was seeing. Were these the Gods? They must be! No mortal had such powers.
Their beams of power met, the force of it sending shock waves through the air, making the people watching from down belows hair ruffle as if from a breeze.
“By the Gods…” his mother whispered, clutching her necklace of the Faith. He heard the maids echo her words. His sister was silent.
Aemond simply stared, wondering what this was, why this was happening, and if this would grow more dangerous.
