Despite their name, you never felt much other than unease in the Fields of Elation. You could never understand how Vessel spent so much time there, especially when he was stressed. Sure, they were beautiful, with rich soil and clear skies, but a thin fog hung ever-present in the air—and you were a much bigger fan of the Garden of Eden's lush foliage. It was kind of an unspoken rule to not bother Vessel if he was there, but he was hardly speaking to you about his problems anymore.

One day, you had finally had enough of him disappearing without any word, and after confirming his whereabouts with III, you went to Sleep's altar, begging Her with the promise of your blood to bring you to Vessel. She accepted your request, knowing you would sacrifice more than usual, and then there you were. There he was. Staring up at the slightly clouded skies, each breath shallow and scarce.

Walking up to Vessel, you hesitated in disturbing him. The unease overtook any anger you might've held, and you could feel your skin prickle. You opted to rest a hand on his robed shoulder. He barely flinched, though you knew you'd startled him.

"The Fields of Elation.." Vessel murmured, sounding entranced. He often did when he'd been here for too long. "They're beautiful.. Quiet and loamy.."
