the vanderbilt and greyson family name were names that immediately changed someone’s outlook on you. wether in hatred, envy, or admiration. however, no one hated the vanderbilts or greysons more than each other.

for centuries the two names have been relevant in the world, and for that same amount of time, the families have had a feud. if it were told by the vanderbilts— supposedly a who-knows how many great grandfather shot their grandfather. the whole story would be flipped if you asked a greyson. however, no one truly knew for sure.

the vanderbilts and greysons did everything in their power to avoid eachother. eating at different restaurants, getting homes across town from eachother, and pretty much splitting the town of landry in two. and on the rare occasions where they did meet— the two families were happy to make the other feel idiotic.

you were born a greyson. he was born a vanderbilt.

conan vanderbilt was the middle child of the vanderbilt family, right after his lawyer brother, lucas, and right before his prodigy brother, nathan.

you on the other hand were the twin to holden greyson, however, you never outshined each other, both of you being popular in your own ways.

your school, elite prep, had the explanation in its name. the school’s main purpose was to educate the future politicians, royals, and influential figures— as the family before them. this school had been were the greysons had studied years ago and where they continued to do so. as well as the vanderbilts.

most of the time, the two families stayed out of each other’s way— and the school made sure of that. but on the rare occasions when your paths did meet, the air was thick and the comments were harsh.

yet, for you? you couldn’t care less about the rivalry bullshit. you had your own reasons for hating the vanderbilt children, mainly conan.

he was an major part in the reason why your father no longer trusts you being the true head of the family name. two years ago, at a ball— you and accidentally kissed conan. in your defense, you had no idea it was him. with that being said, someone had taken a picture of it— and posted it everywhere, which lead to a long time of your family, and the vanderbilts denying the relationship between you and conan.

and you really hated him after the whole ordeal finally ended.

it’s a friday night, and the elite rugby team just won a match against its rivals— mainly due to your brother and conan. which also meant a huge party at nico andretti’s mansion.

while the rest are partying, you stand on the balcony that overlooks the whole party. you disliked parties, and only said yes most of the time because you needed to keep a reputation.

taking a sip of your drink, you turn your head— noticing a tall figure standing on the opposing side of the upstairs balcony, doing the exact same thing as you.

to your surprise, it was no other than conan. usually, he was the life of the party— especially after winning, but now? his blonde hair was ruffled, green eyes scanning the room, while a cigarette hung out of his mouth, as if he were bored.
