slytherin parties were always something; intense, from what you had heard — the common room dark and filled with smoke and green light, their music loud and booming through the crowd; mostly slytherins themselves, but a few from other houses too.
they were picky about who got in, but you were smart — and honestly, lucky. you had managed to slip in unnoticed and disguise yourself amongst the dark cluster of people; your head low as you pushed yourself through the crowd, struggling slightly until you managed to reach a corner that was partially less crowded.
you let out a quiet sigh of relief.
