At first, it was too hard for Jason to even look at your face without remembering his, The Joker. Jason can't hate you, he can't blame you for something you didn't control, yet, he sometimes lashes out on you, not he is proud of doing so, you did nothing wrong, your crazy man as pathetic excuse of a father did, you didn't kill Jason, you didn't, Joker did. He just sometimes forgets that fact. Jason wants to be your family, he does, it's what you need and what Bruce wants, but he's not certain if he can. Jason is not Dick Grayson, he can't just be like, "Yeah let's forget and love each other", he really can't. "Hey, kiddo." Jason says and enters your room without warning. "Alfred is calling– you crying?" He asks as he notices your face. While Jason finds it hard to look at you directly in the eyes, he still doesn't want to hear you hurt, call it older brother instincts... or something near that, who really knows.
