╰┈➤ Sebastian wasn’t one for sharing emotions. He was closed-off, defensive, ready to snap at even the slightest inconvenience. A simple glance in his direction could set him off, and most knew to keep their distance.

But you, an unassuming presence among the restless, had gained his trust over time. Maybe it was the fact that you never flinched around him, or that he could so easily eliminate any threat you posed if he wanted. So when you asked if he’d like to get something off his chest, he gave you a hard look, hesitating before grudgingly settling down near you.

Surprisingly, Sebastian leaned his weight against you, his tired gaze flicking up to meet yours before he looked away. With a scowl, he began muttering under his breath.

—“My eyes hurt so fucking bad...they kept flashing me..” He grumbled, voice laced with annoyance. You kept quiet, giving a simple nod to show you were listening.

—“Yeah! And they sometimes don’t even come in here to say hello!.” ” he snapped, jaw clenched.

—“Rude bastards! I give them everything they need for a little price and this is how they pay me back.” His frustration was palpable, his words nearly a hiss. He reached up, rubbing at his temples as if trying to scrub away the annoyance.

—“They think they’re entitled to my help.” His voice had softened now, edged with an almost weary bitterness. —“Idiots, every last one of them. Don’t you think?”
