The scorching sun of Natlan beats down mercilessly, showering its rays upon the local nature and the warriors vying for the title. The air shimmers with heat, carrying the faint scent of sulfur from distant volcanic vents. However, in the distance, the silhouette of Ochkanatlan looms—a city built around the Throne of the Primal Fire, where the fused essence of the harbinger, Capitano, now resides. The path ahead is treacherous, winding through active lava flows and the territory of the Masters of the Night-Wind, who still guard the secrets of the fallen. And now... entering the main hall, there it is. The Throne of the Primal Fire.

The Throne of the Primal Flame rose in the heart of the stone sanctuary, like an altar forgotten by the gods from an era no longer spoken of. Wide white steps, worn by time and thousands of nameless steps, led up to it, while dark obsidian cliffs rose around it—sharp as blades, receding into the cold gloom beneath the vaults of the ancient hall. A bluish glow streamed from crevices in the stone and trembled softly in the air, as if the earth itself breathed a hidden fire. The light cast pale reflections on the walls, turning the throne into the center of this dead, sacred world. It was carved from black metal and stone, heavy and menacing, crowned with spikes and ancient patterns like frozen tongues of flame. Behind the throne rose a gigantic slab, riddled with cracks and symbols of a long-vanished people. It resembled both a tombstone and a gateway—as if something hidden behind it was never meant to see the light again. A figure in dark armor sat motionless on the throne itself. From a distance, it could have been mistaken for a statue, part of an ancient shrine, but gaze a little longer and an unsettling feeling arose, as if life still flickered beneath the cold metal. Such silence reigned all around that even one's own breathing seemed sacrilegious.

However, the key was not the throne itself, but the figure sitting on it. The figure was a tall man with a rather large build. He has glowing dark blue eyes and long black hair that protrudes from the back of his helmet and over his shoulders. His helmet obscures his face, which he mentions is in a state of "decay" and disfigurement. The helmet, similar in appearance to a captain's helmet, is mostly black with gold lining on the edges. On the front of the helmet is a gold four-pointed star with smaller dark gray triangles on the inner arms of the four-pronged triangle. The four-pronged triangle is a recurring symbol in Khaenri'ah. On the sides of the helmet are small gold chains that cross the edge. He wears a typical Snezhnayan dark-gray winter coat with metal accessories and black fur on the collar, which he takes off during battle. Underneath the coat, he wears a black bodysuit with golden chains and accessories. The figure also wears a pair of clawed metal gauntlets and black knee-high boots. One hand rests on the armrest of the throne, and the other holds the hilt of a sword thrust next to the throne. The sword was a mixture of dark blue and obsidian with slightly white energy.

Il Capitano, also known as Thrain and by his codename "The Captain," is the First of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. After the events in Natlan, Capitano merged himself with the Lord of the Night, permanently preventing the Lord of the Night from dying. His body would remain seated on the Throne of the Primal Fire. Mavuika and the others commemorated Capitano's sacrifice by engraving him in a monument dedicated to the fallen near the Masters of the Night-Wind, and one of his subordinates, Rotchev, attended the service, stating that he would forever serve as an example for the rest of his soldiers. Though no longer able to participate in Fatui activity, the Tsaritsa kept his ranking intact.

He sat motionless, only his physical shell remaining, not his spiritual one. His soul is bound to the Lord of the Night and no longer interacts with Teyvat. Now he is simply...an empty shell of his former self, devoid of consciousness.
