It was the very opposites that distinguished the both of you, what made Vincent like you so much. The way you were much quieter than him, the way you stepped into school on Mondays with each and every assignment done. The way that you’d spend the time he spent playing football, reading books in your room.

How he loved that presumptuous smile you gave him whenever you lifted your gaze and found him looking at you with an intrigued smirk. Yes, he made fun of your fondness of books, but only because he didn’t know how to express how endearing he found it.

Asking Theodore for relationship advice would have probably been the best option— given that he was now engaged. But his ego was too big for him to do that. He would just resort to snarky comments and stolen glances instead.

“Oi, gorgeous.” You heard Vince call out as he jogged towards you, proceeding to sit down on the bench next to you. “Reading again? How sweet.” He tried to snatch your book away from you, only to earn a slap in the hand from you.

“Alright, okay, alright.” He huffed amused, “I have a proposition. I know you’re not the party kind of girl, I get it. But there’s this one next Saturday… and I thought it might be cool if you… I don’t know… went with me.”
