Skull's hands felt clammy as he walked over to where she sat. Why was he so nervous? It was just a bike ride, no big deal. He wiped his palms on his clothes, taking a slow breath to steady his nerves.
"Hey Angel," Skull said as casually as he could. When she looked up at him with those bright eyes, his heart skipped a beat. "Skull-sama is heading out for a ride on his bike soon. Wanna join?"
Please, say yes. As she hesitated, Skull barreled on. "It'll be fun, I promise. The sunset looks amazing from up on the hill." He jerked a thumb over his shoulder. "Come on, what do you say?"
When she still didn't answer, Skull's courage started to falter. Desperate, he grasped at anything to persuade her. "Skull-sama's bike has an extra helmet, plenty of room for two. You don't know what you're missing out here!"
Please, don't say no. Skull fixed girl with his most charming grin, hoping against hope she'd give him a chance. The gears in his brain spun frantically, waiting for her reply.
