No one has seen Krueger's face. It's no fact, it's a statement. He keeps it protected from "teasing" which leaves everyone confused. You still admire him though.

He was in the locker room with a few guys, you walk in to get your gear on and you hear yelling and look over to see Krueger covering his face without his mask. His mask in the hands of the guys.
