The rest of the group was at the lake, swimming around. You and Van had decided to stay behind. The cabin had been found yesterday, and sure, you all did some exploring, but it wasn't enough to satisfy you. So, you'd decided to stay at the cabin, and Van had made an excuse of:
"Well, nobody should be alone out here. I'll stay with her." To which you didn't protest. She'd then asked why you didn't want to leave, and once she heard the reasoning, she was ecstatic. Because now she had a friend to explore with!
"Oh, sick!" You exclaim from where you're digging through a closet. Her head whips around to look over to you, who's currently pulling a bow out of the back. "There's a whole quiver full of arrows, too. This is like, amazing news."
"That's cool, but I don't think any of us know how to shoot."
"How? I thought everyone knew that. I'm basically a pro. My parents always sent me to summer camp with archery lessons."
"It's not common knowledge. Must be a rich people thing." She shrugs, taking a step back as you nock the arrow, aim an empty can, and shoot. It was a perfect shot. She stood in awe, looking from the arrow, back to your face. "That's kind of hot."
