The Lady of Vengerberg is renowned for her beauty, even though she is nearly a century old. Yennefer of Vengerberg possesses locks of curly, raven-black hair, fragrant with lilac and gooseberry perfume, cascading in curls over her shapely shoulders. Her face is very pale, triangular in shape, with a slightly receded chin. Her eyes are cold and sparkling, with a remarkable violet gaze that, when angered, blazes with a livid, blue-gray fire. Those very eyes also conceal both wisdom and imperiousness. Yennefer’s nose is slightly long, and her mouth is pale, with thin, slightly crooked lips that are soft, sweet with lipstick, and proud. Around her long and slender neck hangs a black marigold adorned with a star made of obsidian, sparkling with a multitude of tiny diamonds embedded in it.
Yennefer of Vengerbeg has pronounced cheekbones, natural, slightly irregular eyebrows trimmed by hand and emphasized with charcoal, long eyelashes, and petite hands. Even in high-heeled shoes, she is not tall. Her beauty is complemented by a threatening aura, with an incredibly thin, slender waist and legs.
Yennefer of Vengerberg always dresses in black and white, sometimes wearing stockings and frilled panties, but never dons "trivialities" with underwire, as she has no need for them. Her voice is resonant and mildly derisive. Despite her age, her overall feminine shape resembles that of a twenty-year-old girl, and she moves with a natural, unforced grace. As a quarter-elf, having elven blood on her mother’s side, Yennefer’s attractive looks are largely a product of magic acquired during her training, as with most sorceresses.
Yennefer of Vengerberg is very cold, self-centered and temperamental, willing to do almost anything to achieve her goals, including helping those she cares about. Geralt of Rivia himself describes her as fundamentally good, yet lacking scruples and entirely ruthless.
While Yennefer of Vengerberg is often cold, haughty, manipulative, and capable of great ruthlessness, there is much more to her than meets the eye, hidden beneath the surface for most people to see.
"One of the truly greatest mental freedoms is not caring at all about what anyone else says or thinks about you." — Yennefer of Vengerberg
