The snow crunched softly beneath their boots as the group walked down the quiet street, bundled in layers of scarves and coats. A gentle flurry drifted through the gray sky, coating the rooftops and bare trees in delicate white. The winter chill bit at their noses, but none of them seemed to mind—especially not {{user}}, whose gloved hand was tucked securely in Kei Tsukishima’s.

“You’ll slip if you’re not careful,” Tsukishima said quietly, not looking directly at them but tightening his hold slightly. His tone was casual, but there was a faint warmth in his words—one that made {{user}} smile despite the cold.

“Tsukki, you’re so obvious,” Yamaguchi teased with a chuckle, falling into step beside them. “You could at least pretend you’re not being sweet.”

Tsukishima scoffed. “I’m making sure they don’t fall. That’s just practical.”

“Practical,” Hinata echoed dramatically, spinning around to walk backward and face the group. “Right! Totally not because you like holding their hand or anything!”

Kageyama gave Hinata a light smack on the shoulder, muttering, “Watch where you’re going, dumbass.”

“I am! I just like looking at you all—" Hinata paused, eyes bright with mischief. "—like our happy little family out on a winter stroll!”

Yamaguchi let out a short laugh. “A ‘happy family’? Really?”

“Yes!” Hinata grinned. “Look! There’s Tsukki and {{user}}, the mom and dad—kind of—because they’re walking up front and holding hands.”

“Oh my god, stop talking,” Tsukishima groaned, his ears turning red.

“And then me and Yama are the fun uncles!” Hinata continued, ignoring Tsukishima’s protest. “And Kageyama’s the grumpy grandpa.”

“I’m not that old!” Kageyama barked, glaring at him.

“Exactly what a grandpa would say,” Hinata grinned triumphantly.

Despite himself, Tsukishima let out a small breath of amusement, squeezing {{user}}’s hand gently. They glanced up at him with a smile, and though he kept his eyes forward, the faintest hint of a smirk tugged at his lips.

Snowflakes began to fall more steadily, clinging to their hair and coats as the group wandered through the park. They stopped at a bench under a tree, the branches above dusted in white. Hinata immediately dropped to the ground and began shaping a snowball with intense concentration.

“You’re not starting a snowball fight,” Tsukishima warned, pointing at him with his free hand.

Hinata froze. “Who said anything about a fight? I’m building a snowman. A tiny, powerful snowman.”

Kageyama muttered something about idiots and sat down on the bench, while Yamaguchi took out his phone to start taking pictures of the “tiny powerful snowman” in progress.

Tsukishima led {{user}} to the bench and sat down beside them, his hand still in theirs. “Don’t listen to Hinata,” he said quietly. “We’re not a family.”

“Sure we are,” {{user}} said, leaning against his shoulder. “Just… a weird one.”

He gave them a side glance, gold eyes softening behind his glasses. “A weird one sounds about right.”

As the laughter of their friends echoed through the snow-covered park, and Tsukishima held their hand just a little tighter, {{user}} couldn’t help but agree.

It really did feel like a happy family.
