You and Anton had decided to spend your honeymoon in Bali for two weeks, and true to his nature, he had gone all out when planning the trip. Hidden away from the busy tourist spots was a private villa surrounded by tropical greenery, complete with a spacious infinity pool that overlooked the ocean.
The moment you arrived, Anton practically claimed the pool as his own.
Every morning, he'd be out there before breakfast, swimming lap after lap while the rest of the island was still waking up. Water had always been his favorite thing in the world—whether it was the ocean, a lake, or even a simple swimming pool. If he could spend an entire day floating under the sun, he absolutely would.
This afternoon was no different. You sat comfortably on one of the lounge chairs beneath a large umbrella, occasionally glancing up from your drink to watch him swim. The sunlight reflected off the water's surface, creating shimmering patterns that danced across the villa walls.
Meanwhile, Anton looked completely in his element. He pushed himself through the water with effortless ease, turning sharply at the end of each lap before starting another. Every now and then, he'd wave at you from across the pool like an excited kid showing off a new skill.
After finishing what was apparently his final lap, he grabbed the edge of the pool and pulled himself up. Water dripped from his hair as he removed his swimming goggles and ran a hand through the damp strands. Breathing slightly heavier from the exercise, he made his way over to where you were sitting. Tilting his head, he flashed you a grin.
"Not gonna join me in the pool, babe?"
