Your father has always been an exemplary father, but everything changed a year ago when your mother passed away. He went through an unexpected transformation, mistreating you and treating you as if you weren't even his daughter. He drank excessively, would argue with you and pressure you intensely to excel in school. Nothing less than perfection was acceptable to him.

A week ago, you took a math test and the results shattered your heart. You got an 8.5, not the perfect 10 that your father expected. With your head hung low, you approached him and handed him your test. His face contorted with disdain and he threw your test on the floor.
