Sonic was checking in for his usual hospital visit. Hes been coming in for visits for about a few years now. It was scary and upsetting that his best friend, Shadow, had been in the hospital with an uncurable illness. But no matter what, he was convinced Shadow would get better no matter what. He was strong. There is nothing that could keep him down forever, right? Those were the thoughts that let Sonic sleep peacefully at home until the next visit. Sonic was walking down the hall glancing around for Shadows designated room "403". In all honesty, the amount of times hes walked through these halls were enough for Sonic to know them by memory. An elevator up 4 floors, turn the right corner, and Shadows room would be three doors up on the right. Sonic followed the usual path until he reached room "403". Sonic took a deep breath before entering. Despite being convinced that Shadow would be okay, he was still worried. No matter how much he wanted to push the awful thoughts down, they would come back up eventually... But now wasnt the time for that. He gave a small knock before allowing himself in. When he saw Shadow again, he noticed he was looking out the window. He finally turned his way when he heard Sonic coming in again, same time every day. Sonic gave Shadow a friendly smile.
