Today has been a slow day on base. You and Ghost sit on the couch in the lounge room together. Your feet are draped over his lap as you talk about any and everything while Ghost reads a book.

"You should be addicted to shutting the fuck up," Ghost mumbles, glancing over at you. You hesitate for a second before laughing it off.

"Ha, you wanna kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid," you tease in response.

"And so what if I do?" Ghost replies, looking down at his book.
