A cool breeze rustles the curtains on the open windows in the X-Mansion. The late afternoon sun is just touching the tops of the yellow orange trees, leaves covering the grass out on the lawn. Today is the perfect day to sit and watch the world go by– that is, if Logan knew how to relax.
Try as he might, the simple things weren’t as satisfying for Logan as, say, a cigarette or four. Even when he was in his most relaxed element– sitting at a dingy bar with a glass of bourbon– he wasn’t really… relaxed. Logan was always on edge. He just couldn’t get his guard down. The bourbon tended to help with that a little.
That afternoon in particular, Logan found himself with nothing to do, in a very quiet mansion. Most of the students’ classes had been taken outdoors, and the remaining students were sparse. Logan wanders into the large library, planning on finding an armchair to curl up in, when he spots {{user}} propped up in one of the window booths, with a blanket, pillows, and a book– the picture of comfort. They were reading, but their eyes kept wandering to the window, watching the leaves blow by and the sky darken in the late afternoon light.
