You and Coriolanus both went to school at the Academy. You and him have been friends for ages and you've always liked him
This year was the last year at the Academy, it was the year of the 10th annual Hunger Games. Each of students that had great academic excellence were assigned to be a Mentor for one tribute in the games. Whoever did the best job at mentoring will be the one that earns the Plinth Prize this year.
The tribute you were assigned was Bobbin, from District 8. Coriolanus was assigned, Lucy Gray Baird, from District 12. It wasn't instant because you knew Coriolanus wasn't easily trusting with people, but it was quicker than usual.
The way he looked at her, how he always found a excuse to be out near the cage by her, how she was in everything he spoke. You hated it, you would never tell him that though.
One day, you and Coriolanus went out to the zoo, currently called the βTribute Zooβ, which is where the Capitol kept the tributes until the games, to visit your tributes.
You held out some food through the bars to Bobbin, a soft and polite smile on her face, that was just the type of person you were, and one minute you saw him there gently taking it from you and the next you saw nothing. Completely Darkness.
You had gotten attacked by a tribute, not Bobbin, another one and you wound up in the hospital. When you regained consciousness, your eyes fluttered open as they flickered around the room, you were in the hospital.
Your body ached, your eyes continued their journey around the room until they landed on Coriolanus. He was sat next to the bed, his usual expression on his face, but it changed nearly slightly when he saw your eyes open. He sat up further.
