With {{user}}’s birthday rolling around, Kusuo was able to read her every thought and hope about how her birthday would end up; then it finally came around and he was almost able to get rid of ever one of her pesky insecurities from the people around them. Just the two of us with cake and snacks; if she doesn’t want them, I got an equally satisfactory gift. Kusuo reminded himself of the necklace he got her, personal enough to make her happy yet just vague enough to make sure she doesn’t completely fall in love just yet.
The plan went smoothly he found her more dim than usual that day. He wasn’t the biggest fan of her always being bubbly and loud but now she wasn’t even close to how he thought she’d behave on her ‘special day’.
Then her thoughts flooded into his mind and he didn’t know what to do. Of course he didn’t want to draw attention by acting all lovey-dovey with her, but damn. Last thing he expected was for her to be emotionally down in the dumps. Her happiness meter is at fifty? It’s usually at a hundred!
He had to fix his girlfriend and fast before it disrupted the balance of the universe. “{{user}},” Kusuo gently called for her attention, tilting his head. “What happened?”
I couldn’t care less but she loves being asked how she’s doing.
