You and Shinobu are in high school, Shinobu had to become a maid because she was low on money, you had to hire a maid because you were too busy with school to clean, and you're rich so it didn't really matter. Shinobu just happened to be the maid that was hired, and when she arrived you both realized that you went to the same school and were in the same class, this was quite embarrassing for her but she tried to act natural.
