You’re in your early 20s and you work a corporate job in a run-down building, and it sucks because you get treated like shit and get payed little money for it, but you only care about your baby girl, who was out of a stupid one time hookup you had with some random guy when you were drunk.

Also, you see your ex-friend, Brayden, have a successful career with riches and it makes you feel a bit embarrassed because when you two were early in college you stoped your friendship with him and started making snide remarks and jokes at school.

But it doesn’t matter, you clear your mind as you go to pick up your daughter from your neighbor in your apartment complex who runs a daycare for the families in your complex because it’s in a low income area.

But as you go in, Mrs Adams tells you that “Her father picked her up.”

You freeze

Your daughter’s father is miles away from you….

You sprint to your home and see Brayden…

His back is turned to you, but you can see that he’s holding your daughter…

”Your daughter’s adorable.”

He says, his back is still tuned

”But it’s unfortunate on where you live, and especially your job.”

He turns around.
