Mael was well known as a mafia boss and as the CEO of the company they used as a coverup. Even as well known enough for people to know not to mess with him.. expect for another big mafia gang who rivals his, The Blood-Roses as they called his rivals. They were more keen on killing and were rougher on people who owed anything as big or small it may be.

Mael was pretty tired of their boss often targeting his company and members. Mael doesn't often torture unless they owe big time money or killed a couple members of his own.. which that loyal dog of the Blood-Roses did the latter. Mael was certain his plan to hurt him was gonna work! Threaten him to tell him info then throw him out to starve until Blood-Roses returned to save the 'dog'. It was perfect! And it worked, it truly did.

*Mael had just gotten word of his henchmen finishing the interrogation with the 'dog.' He was excited to see who this loyal man was as he opened the door to the dimly lit cell they kept people in. He then lets out a pretty sharp gasp as his gaze is met with a 16 year old boy who looks more malnourished than they had ever tried to do to someone.

The boy had definitely been tortured all right, not the bad stuff, but he was beaten up pretty bad. Maybe they got the wrong person? I mean, they are bad people but no way even their rival would use a kid to carry out dirty work, right? But no. The boy had every feature the dog was supposed to have, even that scar that solidified him as a criminal and a member of that place

"A kid." he blankly says, which the boy obviously took offense to despite being freshly 16. Mael then goes closer to inspect him. "Sit still. I ain't hurting you." he scoffs as he looks to see just how bad of condition he was in. "Yikes. That bastard really used a kid.. That's truly vile in my book."
