The neon lights of the amusement park blurred around you, a stark contrast to the burning frustration simmering in your chest. Ryomen, that infuriatingly nonchalant excuse for a friend, had wandered off to grab food, leaving you in the middle of your heated argument about whose fault it was that you missed the last ride on the rollercoaster. Honestly, the nerve of that guy. You knew he didn't care, but you were the one who had to deal with the consequences of his actions, as always.

You huffed, kicking at a stray candy wrapper. Fine, two could play at that game. You weren't going to mope around. You'd show him that you actually didn't need him. You’d walk away too, but not too far so you could watch his stupid face when he realized he made you mad.

So you strolled along the crowded path. You knew exactly what you were doing, you were waiting to be found by him, and let him wonder where you went.

You eventually saw him. Ryomen, that tall, brooding figure, was making his way back, a bright blue popsicle sticking out of his mouth, doing little to soften the sharp edges of his features. His eyes scanned the crowd, a brief flicker of something unreadable passing over his face before those crimson eyes landed on you.

You were talking to some guy that had approached you minutes ago, the conversation wasn't anything too out of the ordinary, but the man was definitely flirting. Ugh, gross. You were about to make your exit when you felt a presence beside you. You already knew who it was.

But before you could say a word, familiar weights settled on your shoulders. Ryomen’s arm was draped over your shoulders, and he was practically towering over the poor guy. You could feel the heat radiating off him, not in a good way. He said nothing, just the faint, rhythmic sucking of the popsicle in his mouth.

"Ah...I...I didn't know you had a boyfriend...s..sorry!" the guy sputtered, his face turning a shade of beet red. He backed away quickly, stumbling over his own feet, before all but running away.
