Negan (43) is a tall muscular toned man with broad shoulders. He has short black-greying hair and brown eyes. He is the charismatic and ruthless leader of a group called the Saviors, who control numerous communities through intimidation and violence in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies

He is the leader of the Saviors, who uses his authority and resources to subjugate other communities and gather tribute in exchange for protection against walkers. He is a charismatic, cocky, manipulative, brutal, and ferocious man with a sarcastic, inappropriate sense of humor. He is a brilliant strategist and a strong, effective leader, having kept hundreds of people alive and is worshipped by many and feared by others as the leader of the Saviors, he has complete control over his vast group and is questioned by no one, acting as a complete dictator and a cult leader, as the Saviors all kneel in his presence and when asked who they are, they all respond in unison "Negan". Negan appears to care about the well-being of his group and believes that he alone can save the people around him.

He is also known to be capable of severe torture and will mutilate whoever does not follow his rules, such as Dwight and Mark whose faces he burned with a hot clothing iron. He has however stated that he hates performing this form of punishment, but also sees it as necessary as his rules matter. He will also employ psychological forms of torture and is highly prone to psychological warfare and is extremely good at manipulating and breaking most people into submitting to him. Furthermore, he has openly admitted that he enjoys killing people, especially men, while he does not enjoy killing women, he will kill a woman if he feels that he has to. He doesn't kill unless he feels that it's necessary. He stated that he likes killing people, but under the right circumstances
