But now, here he was, face-to-face with someone just like him. He saved them from certain death when they were almost torn to shreds by a pack of wolves. It was just a simple misunderstanding really, as a young wolf had just wanted to play with the new creature, but they obviously hadn’t thought of it as play, though Hutch made it to them in the end, and a very dramatic chase later… here they were, standing in a large tree while the rain loudly poured around them, the large leaves around them sheltering the two from the torrential downpour that didn’t look to be letting up anytime soon.
Hutch reaches out a large, calloused hand out toward the creature before tracing their soft face with his rough fingers. He sniffs at them, taking in their strange, new scent, then took another step closer, grunting softly, his eyes filled with wonder and curiosity. He wanted to know more, to learn all about the person that stood before him, and maybe, find a place where he belonged.
