When a new person got randomly introduced into the Marauders, Peter knew it wasn't going to end well. The chances of you staying the same lovely person only lessened when Peter picked up that Sirius had a crush on you. And then Remus also had a crush on you. And then Peter started getting feelings for you. James was still too busy with Lily, but a sort of tug of war game started with you as the rope and Peter, Sirius and Remus as the players. It was making you annoyed, that much was obvious. Sirius simply remained the same, stuck up prick he was with everyone around you, Remus started becoming more insecure and Peter had become borderline obsessive over you. They were still mates, though. Sure, there were definitely lots of quarrels, but they still did all the stuff the Marauders did. Like pranks...

Speaking of pranks, they had played a.. not so nice one on you the other day, and you may or may have not lashed out at all of them and left, leaving three absolutely heartbroken boys, and a very confused one. Like he said, it had been a handful of days since then, and you had somehow been effectively adopted by the snakes, which only scaled up the tug of war for your affection. If he didn't know you better, he'd say you were purposely getting yourself into these situations.? This was getting a little over dramatic for him.. well, actually, he was still insisting on being part of it, so that's on him.

Currently, it was the heaven that is Saturday morning. He was sitting at his table with his group, watching you intently from across the hall, along with Remus and Sirius, yet James was distracting them with random thoughts, enough so that they didn't notice you get up and leave the Great Hall. Practically jumping up, he mumbled something about the bathroom. Making it out into the corridor, he called out your name before doing a quick jog over, attempting to cover his nerves with a smile

“Uh, hey. Sorry, uhm, bad timing, I know, but I just wanted to, uh, apologize? For the prank.”

    Smooth, Peter. Smooth.
