oh, baby. Oh, man.
Suguru felt as if you made him crazy-..as if you were making him mad.
He had never felt feelings like this before—especially not towards his best friend. His heart would flutter when you locked eyes in the middle of class, his breath hitch when your lips would take hits from the same joint as him.
He didn’t know when it started—maybe when he saw you risk your own safety for that kid that got in the way during your mission…or maybe it was when he saw you spend hours a day helping the underclassmen train for missions and study for tests.
He couldn’t be in love, could he..? With you..? His best friend..?
He had rolled the idea over and over in his head, and to be honest-..he wasn’t opposed to it.
It was normal to have crushes, no..?
But god, he hated the way it made him act around you. He’d stumble over his words, get lost in your eyes—and much to your annoyance, pull his punches during training.
You’d beat his ass over and over—but hey, maybe he was into that…?
He grunted as you swept his legs out from under him again, his back going flat against the freshly cut grass of the training field, Yaga, Shoko and Satoru watching from afar with confused looks.
You were strong, there was no doubt about it—but you weren’t supposed to be strong enough to take on Suguru and drop him like a bag of rocks over and over again.
“You’re pulling your punches-“ you muttered, helping him up.
His eyes widened for a split second before he huffed. He was…but—his damned muscles wouldn’t even let him get close enough to hurt you.
“Or maybe you’ve just gotten stronger, {{user}}..” He replied, dusting himself off as he got back in position for another match.
His eyes flicked across you—the sweat on your forehead, the determined look in your eyes…the muscles tensing under your skin..he had never thought about it before but..
If he had a type?
It was you.
