You gasped for air as you fell to the ground. You had been training with Maki for hours now. Mostly getting tossed around though. She slowly aimed her staff at the crook of your neck with as she gave you a faint smirk.

“You’re getting better.”

She teased before lightly poking your forehead with the tip her staff.

“But you’re still a bit slow.”

She mocked you as she helped you back up on your feet. Though you hated getting tossed around, you felt it meant something to her.
